Testo
There’s a glass in front of me.
They say it’s just glass.
But inside that glass
there’s all the road I’ve walked
and all the roads
I was too afraid to take.
Inside that glass I saw my days:
heavy stones tucked into my pockets
as if carrying weight were a duty.
Rough gravel scraping every decision,
fine sand slipping through
before I could even hold it.
And the water…
the one that seeps in through the cracks I left open,
even where I never wanted to look.
And so I ask myself:
how many times did I make room for things
that had no right
to cling to me,
just because I feared the empty space?
I choose my reality,
even when it shakes,
even when it hurts.
I put order back inside me
like after an earthquake:
I gather what’s still standing
and build a new beginning.
I choose my reality,
because no one else
will do it for me.
In the reflection of the glass I saw the cracks:
half-kept promises,
excuses polished far too well,
fears parked in my chest
that made me believe
I was moving
while I was standing still.
Enough.
I don’t want to believe my lies anymore.
I brush away the sand that chokes me,
the gravel pulling me down,
and keep only what
breathes with me.
I choose my reality,
even when I forget how to do it.
Water turns into flame,
burns the excess,
cuts through the past.
I choose my reality
with no excuses,
no discounts.
If I ignite my fire,
the dark becomes a path.
Now that glass burns like a wound,
but warms like a hand
that saves you at the very last second.
It hurts when I can’t forgive myself,
it shines when I finally can.
And I want to blaze,
not shrink.
I tune myself to the world,
like a tightened string
finally vibrating
in the right note.
I no longer wait for life to choose for me:
I call it in,
with my voice,
with my fire.
I choose my reality,
even when I must fall.
And if I fall, I rise:
every impact is a lesson,
every lesson a step.
I choose my reality
and hold it close to my heart.
If I choose love, I turn to light;
if I choose fear, I break a little.
But not today.
Today I vibrate.
Today I create who I am.
A glass seems like nothing,
until you pour truth into it.
Then it burns.
And it lights the way.
