I am the Silence

Time stands still, suspended in air, in the deep silence, voices out there. Breath starts to dance, returns and flows, the moment forgives, it opens, it glows. Silent roots keep me tied to the ground, my wings unfold, a new flight I’ve found. The heart embraces, I dive in its sea, it guides me through the void, it teaches me to be. A thought drifts by, I watch it fade, silence dissolves it, no fear, no shade. Silence breaks chains, releases the pain, it quiets the mind, and lets love remain. (yaa – aaah, yaa – aaah) Silence opens the door to the now, I’m floating yet present, here and now. (yaa – aaah, yaa – aaah) Clouds run swiftly above destiny, slowly melting, they set themselves free. I open my hand, I let it all fly, what’s held too tightly will wither and die.
